We pride ourselves on ensuring that our bar prices are lower than you will find in the local pubs around - you won't be faced with those captive audience level of prices!
To give you an idea for 2017, our draught beers, lagers, ciders and stout are all between £3.40 and £3.70 a pint, and our Smirnoff Vodka and Gordans Gin are £2.40 for a single.
In light of these, please do take a moment to read our FAQ about alcohol brought onto site.
We are a fully licensed venue and under no circumstances can guests bring their own alcohol onsite. Any alcohol brought onsite by guests will be confiscated, anything that has been drunk will be subject to a very substantial retrospective corkage charge and guests may also be asked to leave.
Our bar prices are lower than the pubs around us so we ask that you respect our decision to not make the most of a captive audience by not bringing in your own alcohol. We have extensive CCTV on site in all internal and external areas so any alcohol brought in and drunk is easily evidenced! Please note if the corkage payments are refused these will be passed onto the couple the next morning under their contract with us.
We do also allow special dispensation for the couple to bring in their table wine and welcome drinks corkage free under prior arrangement. These drinks can only be drunk up to the end of the meal and no bottles can be taken out of the barn at the end of the meal. Any discovered are liable to a retrospective corkage charge to the couple.
We have responsibilities as a licensed venue that we take very seriously but also are proud to offer bar prices that are less than all the pubs around (which is unique for a venue like ours). This is together with our corkage free offering to couples for their welcome drinks and wine and in addition we also don't charge the couple anything extra for the bar or bar staff for the day - unlike most other venues!
Please respect our decision to offer all of this by not creating issues on the couples special day by bringing in your own alcohol. We don't enjoy having to deal with any circumstances that arise and much prefer people to simply enjoy our great prices and focus on celebrating the big day with the couple.

We have a lake on site and although there is some protection on the main building side, toddlers and older children do need to be watched at all times. We are a family business with younger children of our own so we fully understand the challenges, but we stress that it is the responsibility of all parents to look after their children and ensure safety and manage their behaviour at all times.
We do benefit from our own private 23 acre golf course that is shut to the public on wedding days so there is ample space for children to let off steam! We are more than happy for impromtu games of football or other games out on the course.
